The IRM International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management gave me a bird’s eye view of enterprise risk management as it applies to financial institutions, thereby assisting me in staying up to date with best practices as well as providing insights in to ancillary risk areas as my role widens.

IRM qualifications are essential in my role as they allow me to be confident in what I do and engaging with clients in the same manner. The qualification gives risk professionals the gold standard approval, a form of recognition which firms can see and appreciate.

I would strongly recommend to anyone working in the field of risk to join the IRM – having an internationally recognised qualification looks great on my CV and has helped me get involved with more risk projects, which has meant I have been lucky to meet with different stakeholders that I wouldn’t usually in my day to day job which raises my profile within my company.
