Working with Universities

We work with universities across the world to develop risk management qualifications and recognise prior learning, research risk related topics and deliver courses.

University Recognition

We work collaboratively with a number of universities to accredit their programmes and recognise prior learning.

Recognition of prior learning for university graduates

If you already hold a risk management qualification, you may qualify for exemptions to some of the modules on the International Diploma in Enterprise Risk Management, thereby accelerating your journey to full professional qualification.

Check this list to view the module exemptions.

If you are exempt from Modules 1 and 2 (equivalent to the International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management), then you may apply directly to become a Certificate Member of IRM (IRMCert).

Download the Certificate Member application form.

Recognition of prior learning for IRM graduates

Arrangements are in place with the following universities to fast-track IRM diploma graduates (GradIRMs) through their master’s degree by awarding credits for the IRM diploma and reducing the time taken to complete the programme.

Birmingham City University - MSc Risk Management

Glasgow Caledonian University - MSc Risk Management

Portsmouth University - MSc Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management
